Il réalise ses premières affiches touristiques pour les compagnies de chemin de fer. Contemporain de Commarmond, Constant-Duval et Lacaze, il est l'un des spécialistes de l'affiche paysage.<br>En 1928, son tryptyque pour le tramway vers le Mont-Blanc indique une rupture de style. Il abandonne l'affiche pour devenir directeur artistique de la revue L'Art et la Mode.
